Updates · · version 2.1–2.2
Measure each exit. See every app flow.
A speed test per exit (2.1)
The new speed test uses M-Lab, the open measurement platform run by researchers. It picks a server in your exit’s own country, shows it while you test, and measures a real ping: one round trip. The app asks once before your first test, because M-Lab publishes every test’s measurements, with the IP address it sees: normally your exit’s, which is your home address if you test a home exit node. If routing goes wrong during a test, it could be your own address.
History now shows the full VPN server name, and the launcher name is plain “unbraid”.
App flows as exit lanes (2.2)
App flows used to be a ribbon chart, unreadable past a dozen apps. Now each exit gets one lane with its data, its share and its apps: the five biggest, then the rest. It stays readable with hundreds of apps. Tap a lane to filter the app list by that exit.
