Splitty is now un/braid
The app that used to be called Splitty is now un/braid, at unbraid.app. Google Play already had another app called Splitty. Routes, providers and settings carry over as they are.
What changed in 2.0
- Steadier connections. An exit whose provider server stops answering now tries another server by itself. Idle connections, such as push notifications, are kept open more reliably. A network blip no longer drops every app, and packets are smaller on mobile networks.
- Speed test. Download, then upload, with a smooth needle and labelled latency. Tailscale exit nodes can be tested too.
- Stats. Clearer scales, units and empty states.
2.0.1 followed the same day: an exit now only counts as down if HTTPS through it fails as well, so networks that block STUN no longer cause needless server switches.
